JENŐ BARCSAY STUDY GRANT

The prize named after Jenő Barcsay has been presented every year since 1990 on Jenő Barcsay’s birthday, January 14, under the auspices of the Department of Artistic Anatomy, Drawing and Geometry. The oeuvre authentically combines techne-based sensual creative practice; synergistically links classical art practice (geometric, drawing, anatomical) with the creative, experimental visual art activity based on it.

For this prize, we are inviting the applications of students participating in the graduate training of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, with works that continue the practice of the creative researcher in their works in the light of Jenő Barcsay’s complex and diversified creative activities.

Besides gratuity, the winners will also receive numbered bronze plaques made by Miklós Borsos.
