HUFA research LAB block seminar<\/strong>
24-28 April 2023, Budapest, Hungary<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concept of the seminar is based on the firm consideration, that artistic research is not an individual activity, rather a collective endeavor that requires a discursive space, therefore the core output of it is to demonstrate the potential of collaboration as opposed to a purely individual research strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the research activity within art field spans on a wide spectrum both in the terms of its objects and subjects, our vision is to connect these layers and actors. The media are shaping the research fields and types \u2013 (spanning from technological to conceptual focuses), while the subjects define the various levels of research activity from undergraduate students, through faculty members and doctoral students. Given the inherent diversity of research topics and focuses of this spectrum we aim at creating a framework in which seemingly distant researcher positions can find the intersection of their investigative work through various situational metaphors, such as traveling, dreaming, speed dating or cooking.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore the block seminar aims at creating a discursive space for the young researchers where they can share some of their findings and intentions in a non-formal, inspiring and inclusively collaborative format. The expected outcome of the seminar is to generate a number of sustainable peer collaborations based on the sub-research areas identified through the process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus the emphasis of the seminar it is not on the topic, but on the methodology, relying on two main methods: discursiveness<\/strong> and narrativity <\/strong>placed in the context of a collective endeavor of knowledge production. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
