Gabriella Zichó obtained her degree in 1993 at the Hungarian University of Applied Arts as a drawing and environmental culture teacher and visual communication designer, with a specialisation in applied graphics. In 2022 she completed a drawing-analysis specialist advisor training programme at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary. In 2026 she passed the specialist examination in the practice-leading mentor teacher programme at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts.
During her career she has not only worked as a teacher but also as a designer and organiser at an exhibition-construction company. The practical experience she gained there has also supported her teaching work. She began teaching at Primary School No. 4 in Tapolca, then continued her teaching career at Pannónia Primary School in Budapest. There she had the opportunity to teach from the first to the eighth grade, thus becoming familiar with every age group and social stratum. Enriched by these experiences, she continued her work at Kodály Zoltán Primary School in Tatabánya. From there, in 2016, she moved to Launai Miklós Reformed School in Neszmély. In this graphics-specialisation secondary vocational school she teaches several professional subjects.
It is important to her that students feel comfortable and become absorbed in the tasks. Therefore she always designs her assignments for the given student group or adapts existing ones accordingly. Her strength lies in individual correction and development. She encourages her students to take part in competitions, to pursue further studies and to obtain several qualifications so that as adults they can change direction flexibly when necessary. In recent years she has regularly been the form teacher of graduating classes; she encourages and guides her students towards a successful professional examination, finding employment, entering the labour market and continuing their studies.
