Péter Lévai

Péter Lévai is an award-winning dancer, a master-level folk dance instructor, a teacher with a degree in education, and an expert in talent development. He began his career as a professional dancer with the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble, and later served as a soloist with the Kodály Chamber Dance Ensemble and the Budapest State Dance Ensemble. In 1992, she earned a degree in folk dance education, which she upgraded to a master’s degree in 2012. She graduated from the University of Debrecen with a degree in pedagogy in 2003 and from the ELTE Doctoral School of Educational Sciences in 2009. She was a university instructor at the Hungarian University of Dance for 28 years.

For six years, she served as chair of the National Professional Certification Board for elementary arts schools. She received the Commemorative Plaque for Hungarian Higher Education and the Hungarian Gold Cross of Merit for her professional and adult education work to date.
