My name is Tünde Nagy Attiláné Kovács. For 30 years, I have been teaching solfège and music theory at a music school to students aged 6 to 18. Since every student begins their musical education with different abilities and levels of knowledge—yet they often study together in the same group—I had to figure out a teaching method that would resonate with everyone, spark their creativity, and at the same time equip students with practical skills. To this end, I developed a teaching method that operates under the slogan “Build the Music!” and uses multimodal tools to inspire you to understand easily and quickly that: the musical fabric is not opaque, but rather a collection of easily interpretable structures that aren’t all that difficult to understand; in fact, we can discover that these patterns are organically linked to other disciplines.
