Socially Engaged Art at Times of War – Voluntary Artistic Collaborations in the Civic Sector in Light of the Ukrainian Refugee Crisis

In my research project my aim is to create a small-scale and locally focused research-based collection that investigates and collects archiveable materials of socially engaged practices that have developed in Hungary regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine. By investigating the position of artists and cultural organizations who have volunteered and/or created artistic interventions during last year’s refugee crisis. My final goal is to create an online archive of the material that I gather during the research.
