Patrick Tagoe-Turkson, a Guest Professor from HUFA is holding an Open Studio at HAB
Patrick Tagoe-Turkson is a contemporary artist from Ghana whose practice transforms discarded flip-flops collected along the Atlantic coast into striking grid-based artworks. Through stitching, layering, and reshaping these found materials, he explores themes of environmental responsibility, collective memory, and the traces of human movement embedded in everyday objects. During his residency, Patrick continues to turn waste into vibrant visual stories that reflect both community and transformation.
Join us for an open studio event where you can meet the artist, learn about his unique materials and process, and see how these fragments of discarded journeys become powerful works of art. Patrick will share insights into his practice and the ideas behind his work.
Patrick Tagoe-Turkson is Guest Professor of the Ludwig Foundation at HUFA. His course is called Material-Based Art Practice: Found Objects and Transformation.
