Finissage with Patrick Tagoe-Turkson in collaboration with HAB and HUFA
Patrick Tagoe-Turkson is a contemporary artist from Ghana who transforms discarded flip-flops collected along the Atlantic coast into striking, grid-based artworks. Through stitching, layering, and reshaping these found materials, he explores themes of environmental responsibility, collective memory, and the traces of human movement embedded in everyday objects.
During his three-month residency at HAB, organised in collaboration with the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, he continued this process of turning waste into vibrant visual stories that reflect both community and transformation. On April 17, towards the end of his residency, we offer a unique opportunity to discover the works he had created during his time at HAB. Join us for this finissage event at 19:00 in the HAB Cabin exhibition space. The pop-up show is on view until April 23.
Free entry.
Date: 17th of April, 2026, 7 pm.
Venue: HAB (1062 Budapest, Andrássy út 112.)
