English-language guided tour of the exhibition The Source of Immortality
We welcome all visitors to an English-language guided tour of our exhibition The Source of Immortality – Alajos Strobl (1856–1926)
Date: 1 August 2026, 4:00 pm
Venue: Hungarian University of Fine Arts, Barcsay Hall, Aula (1062 Budapest, Andrássy út 69–71, Hungary)
Our exhibition, The Source of Immortality, presents the sculptor’s oeuvre in a setting to which he was deeply connected, both as an artist and as an educator. Drawing on works from the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts – Hungarian National Gallery, the Budapest History Museum, the Gödöllő Town Museum, and the Róth Miksa Memorial House and Collection, the exhibition brings together 45 sculptures from an oeuvre comprising several hundred works, including many of the defining masterpieces of the artist’s career.
During the guided tour, curator Dániel Borovi will lead visitors through the artist’s remarkable body of work, offering unique insights into his legacy and introducing a number of exceptional sculptural highlights that, until now, have not been presented together in this context.
Admission is free!
The exhibition was organised in collaboration with the Alajos Strobl Memorial Foundation
